When we’re respected by others it helps us to feel safe and we can be our true selves. Respect means that we accept each other, even when people are different from you or you don’t agree with them. Respect builds feelings of trust, wellbeing and safety.
Respectful behaviours aren’t limited to certain groups. Anyone, at any level can, and should, show respect for others. In respectful workplaces, staff are more engaged and more satisfied at work. With respect in our lives, there is no room for harassment, favouritism or bullying. In a respectful environment people are free to be themselves, share knowledge and build relationships.
You’ll see more messages about our respect campaign over the coming months at CNTW.
