Our Trust Charity

SHINE, part of Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (UK registered charity: 1165788) is the general charitable fund for our Trust. Charitable donations can provide the support for the extra things that would not be possible from the funding we receive from central government alone.

This is the gap that SHINE fills.

Its purpose is to help support service users on their journey to recovery by providing the extra things that can make a real difference to people’s lives. This can include such things as supporting leisure and educational interests, providing special equipment, training and new facilities, and enabling user and carer led activities.

SHINE makes an incredible difference to the lives of our service users and with your help and support we have been able achieve great things. Every year our supporters, including staff, host lots of great fundraising events and activities including bag packs, concerts, bake sales, summer fetes and participating in the Great North Run, raising thousands of pounds.

You can help us continue with this work by donating or fundraising, every donation no matter how small is gratefully received and appreciated. So if you have an idea for a fundraising event or activity, please get in touch so we can support you.

Make a big difference with Microhive
