This year marks 75 years of the National Health Service (NHS). Treating over a million people a day, the NHS has been a constant presence throughout all of our lives and now is the chance to celebrate this milestone. Everyone is invited to get involved to celebrate and raise funds for our Trust’s SHINE Charity.
The SHINE fund is a key part of our charitable activity. The fund helps support people who use our services by providing the extra things that can make a real difference.
SHINE stands for Support, Hope, Inspire, Nurture and Empower. Since being established in 2014 the SHINE fund has supported service users with everything from horse-riding outings to gardening tools, summer activities for young people, and even Christmas decorations for our wards. There are many ways you can get involved to raise funds for SHINE this year, from hosting a tea party, participating in a raffle outside of Trust Cafe areas and much more.
