As of 1st October 2025, Northumberland Community Bank has joined NEFirst Credit Union. If you missed the email, here’s what this means for you:
- No disruption to your accounts – Your savings and loan accounts will automatically move to NEFirst Credit Union. Payroll deductions and services will continue as normal, and all loans will remain on their existing terms.
- New online access – You’ll use a different website and mobile app to manage your account. Full details on how to log in will be in the email.
- Your money is safe – As always, your savings are fully protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
- Continued local service – You’ll still receive the same friendly, community-based support, including access to staff at the Ashington office, which will remain open.

Stay scam aware
While your app and account number are changing, please remain vigilant:
- Their phone number is not changing.
- We will never ask you to confirm your account details, password, or move money to another account or “safe account.”
